Busy with Yummy wooly goodness

I've been so busy coming up with lots of stuff to make. I came up with a design for a needle roll perfect for circulars, dpns and crochet hooks. Now that I've made a few, I've perfected the design, although the pockets can be different sizes.

I've also knit a marisol outfit for the site. It's a size 5/6 and I made a pair of bermuda shorts/capris with a yoga waistband. Here is a pic of alaina modeling the outfit. It's since been blocked :)

I also knit a blanket for a gal in my knitting group. It's a slanted rib:

Stitch Markers

Dori,

Here are some stitch markers I made. I figured I'd post them in my blog to see what you like, which ones you want (if any) before I make the trip up there. Of course, the trip would be worth it as I would get more yarn LOL.

Anyway, the pic with the 2 sets are the dragonfly ones. I couldn't find the normal charms I use, but I did find the ones I used (obviously). I had to get a little creative!!

The others have charms on them, similar to the ones you have already. I think they all came out beautifully :) Let me know.

The dress...

I am very into coming up with things in my head to knit, and then knitting the item. This dress pattern of mine started out as a top, but evolved into a dress. This is my latest, knit out of Debbie Bliss Rialto Aran, superfine merino, purchased at www.woolymonmouth.com (best local yarn store!!!). I also did a cute little ruffle. I'm working on the belt, need to do the adjustable straps and the undersoaker.

The colors are actually a little different irl, a pretty sage/celery green with a lighter shade for the trims. Hope you like it :)

Outfit for Shay

So, I ended up making an outfit for Shay to give as a baby shower gift. I knit a dress, a soaker/bloomer and a bolero. The natural trim was knit/crocheted out of alpaca and the body is knit using an alpaca/silk blend. The colors are natural and an eggplant purple...unfortunately you can't tell the colors real well.

The outfit was a huge hit...loved by everyone. It's going to be submitted to Oprah as the best baby gift ever!!! Can you believe it?? Enjoy the pics.

My fingers have been busy, still

I have been just so busy, it's not even funny (although, I enjoy every moment of it). I've been preparing for my first ever craft show!!! It's being held at my church and the spaces were very affordable! I've been knitting, have stuff already made, and I'll be sewing in the next couple of days. I'm so excited for this. It's on October 11th, the day after my 10 year anniversary.

I'll post pics of what I'm bringing with me when I'm all set :)

The Most Heavenly Soft Yarn

This is perhaps the softest yarn I've ever worked with. My LYS went out of business, the owner retired. I went before she closed and bought this lovely pink angora/merino blend. What a pleasure to knit with. I love making up my own patterns, only I don't put them on paper. I just get my needles clacking and see what I come up with, so I knit a cabled newborn soaker sack, with extra cushiness in the wet zone, and a small pair of shorties. These were my favorite projects to knit, the yarn is just so YUMMY!!! The shorties are the truer color.

My Fingers Have Been a Movin' and a Groovin'

I have been making these awesome little outfits...the top is knit out of cotton yarn with coordinating wool shorties. The first one went on a hc auction, but I changed the top pattern a bit. Krista is modeling her outfit, and funny that my little lady, who loves to prance around in the way she came into the world, will not take this outfit off :) In any case, here are some pics.
